My baby is three!

We had a great time celebrating Bryant's birthday today with friends and family. The real day is Sunday, but Bryant doesn't really understand quite yet about the real day, so the toys, cake, and extra time with friends and family made for one great 3 year old birthday party. He is really into dinosaurs, so we had that theme especially for him. Thanks to everyone that came.

Just How Much Can You Read?

Seniors:By now, you know I expect you to read and read A LOT over the next few months. Which book will you check out first and why?

For those of you who are not in my class, what book are you reading right now? I am usually reading Christian fiction or something I think my students will enjoy.... I am always up for something new so please share author and title. This week I am reading a book titled, Fire From the Rock, by Sharon Draper. Everything she writes is relevant to teens today. Next up is the Jay Asher book, 13 reasons why, I've heard I will need some kleenex to get through that one. I am not a fan of sad stories, but everyone that reads it says it is a must read for teachers.

Oh, and just how many of you out there are hooked on the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers? If you don't know about it, google it, it may not be a "Harry Potter," but it has taken the students and teachers by storm at Northside.

My Three and the End of Summer

I took the kids downtown for the short afternoon today, with the promise of sno cones, I got some pretty good shots. Bryant is just about to turn 3~ I can't believe how big he looks in some of these shots. It seems like just six months ago, I couldn't get him to cooperate with a 10 minute session, today was a first to get happy expressions from all three. I feel a new blog header coming on with some of these shots~ Bennett and Bryant's shirts remind me of the great fall colors. For all of those moms sending kids to school tomorrow, I hope it is a good one for you. Bennett is starting 3rd grade which was a bit harder for me than his first or second grade, but all the same I am happy he is growing up. Then there is Addy moving on to first grade which is changing more and more everyday especially in her looks. Bryant started Central Pres last week for preschool and he seems to think he is going to school just like the big kids, typical these days for him to do everything they do. So, I will be so anxious to pick them up tomorrow from school and hear all about the new things they experienced. Such a fun day for moms and kids!

Nathan and Brittney

(I can't seem to get my showit slide to work with blogger, so I'm going to try and post the link so you can view their session)--try clicking and see if it works?
There are so many of us counting down the days until September 20th, so we can see these two tie the knot! It was a HUMID night we shot these last week, but they turned out precious, I think. Congrats you two! You deserve all the happiness in the world.

Oh, and thanks Cari, for the house! it is a great location! I will definately use it again!

Carson

Is this little guy, not the best. Delbra found the precious Caterpillar! I love it and Carson did, too. He turns two in a few days, such a big boy and talking up a storm. We wanted to snap a few outdoors too, but this yucky weather, we had to do them all indoors. Melissa was one of my creative ones in yearbook back in the day, thanks for letting me capture this fun guy. I had more fun with him and all the toys!

The Lightner's

We will terribly miss Roger and Trish, they have decided to move home, well sorta home. They will be closer to family anyway, and that's what they have been trying to do. Tonight we got together to show them how much they have meant to all of us. They have given so much to our church and our lives. Don't stay away long!

She arrived safe and sound on Tuesday, Jen looks great and is a trooper. The first few days are tough, let alone a photo shoot. I could just snuggle right up with this little one. Isn't she a dream in that pink hat! her room is simply adorable.Jen, let me know what others you might want to post on your blog.

Mr. and Mrs. Hall

Today we celebrated Courtney Snow and Brad Hall's marriage. I've known Courtney since Doug and I moved to Fort Smith, and I know God was honored today because of them. It was a wonderful ceremony. Enjoy the slideshow~these were my favorites from the day, I should have this show posted on the website, also. If there are any family members looking on the blog for all of the wedding photos, please contact Jerry or Kathy for the password on stillmomentsbyleighann.com. The gallery will be live until the 23rd. It was so neat to share this day with both Courtney and Brad. I know you will be servants to our God the rest of your lives! Happy Cruising this week!

Celebration City photos

I tried to find the funniest pictures from our afternoon at the park. The kids all loved the baby free fall ride, but Bryant couldn't ride unless an adult rode with him, so here's Doug enjoying this tiny fall. Then Doug took the camera and made me ride that crazy tilt-a whirl! I honestly think I could have thrown up. yuck--I love the one of Doug in that little blue and pink go-cart. Bryant is in there with him, you just can't see him! Doug cut both ankles trying to fit in that car! made me laugh. Next is Addy lovin the roller coaster and Bennett's face saying it all, "Get me off this Ride!"Next, I deemed Doug, "the daddy of the year" award because he rode the roaring falls ride so the kids could ride--he is totally ducking to keep from getting any wetter. made me laugh again. I was ever so thankful for the camera so I didn't have to ride that one! At the end of the ride after gallons of water has fallen on top of you, they have these little water squirters just to get you wet one more time.
