Graduation 2008

Well, I just lost it tonight, I've been particularly close to this class, and between missing Rosemary tonight and knowing that some of my favorites are going places next fall that I could only dream of....well, I just couldn't help it! I cried, I never do that....some of you would argue...but typically by graduation night I'm so exhausted that I really don't care, but oh, how I'm going to miss this crew. Mr. Mahan placed extremely high expectations on dress and behavior and you know what... 2008 class you measured up beyond any of our imaginations! Here are some snapshots of tonight.

Some time with Addison

The last few months, I've had little time to photograph my own kiddos, so tonight I had a cancelation, so no need to waste a cute outfit and good light, right? here are a few of Addy. I love the phase where they've lost more teeth than they still have? I caught some really good shots of that beautiful smile. I've uploaded the entire session on the website under the tab, Featured Session on the home page---no need for a password. Maybe in the next few days, I can capture the boys?

Newborns have got to be my favorite to photograph. This new little one joins 10 month old sister! yep, irish twins they call it. M & J are great with them. Congrats on two beautiful girls.

Northside Prom

man, what a exhausting Friday and Saturday, but it was fun and the kids had a great time. Here are some of photos of the night. Our theme was P.S.I Love You so we decorated with the New York skyline. The top picture is of Norma, the president of the class, you know the one that does all the work.. and then there's my best friends' husband in the kilt...yep a kilt....thanks Tim for the laughs, sorry Amy but it was funny.

Josh P.

Finally I got a senior with a guitar. I've been wanting to do some shots like this, but I couldn't find one until today. Josh is MULTI-TALENTED. Yes, I capitalize that because it is true. You know that ever so cute video of Phuong trying to earn the 20,000, yes Josh produced that piece. He has a big career ahead of him, that's for sure. He plays for the youth at Grand in the element student ministries, so go Josh, anyway, another senior that I'll miss terribly next year. BTW: he edited the video of the Wizard of Paws the other day, so hopefully we will get it up on Youtube in the next day or two?

The things we do for kids!

Today we held our end of the year academic pep rally. Last year we started this and with overwhelming response we put together another show under the direction of Barb Daniel, who is awesome at planning these types of things. A couple of months back, we thought about doing the wizard of oz (but call it wizard of paws for the Grizzlies), we had such a fun time planning and rehearsing. I scared my two year old to death with the nappy headed lion costume---Anyway, the object of the skit---make kids laugh; and it worked. So here are some clips from today. Other than the wizard skit, we had some races and games, etc. for the kids. Another highlight was Sims, we all love him! He did his own act of, "You might be a Northside teacher, student, administrator if......" I love my school and today was definately a highlight.

Seniors 08

Well, I'm just about to wrap up the spring's senior session. I can't even count how many I've been apart of. I'm so thankful to those seniors who trusted me to capture this time in your life. I hope to get a senior slide show put together to highlight my great kids, of course I'm biased to my Northsiders, but those that I've taken from other schools, thanks to you, too. Here are some special leaders at Northside, Dung and Amanda

Drew

Here's my first little model. I can't believe it was just about this time last year, he has really grown, he looks like a big boy more now, that's for sure.
